This job is to work within an integrated children's therapy team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Assistants and Administrators for children aged 0-19.
You will provide assessment, review and therapy interventions for children with the following areas of need: alternative and augmentative communication (AAC); pre-verbal communication; receptive and expressive language; speech; eating and drinking.
You will work in close partnership with special schools, other education providers and the local authority SEND services. The service is based in East Sussex.
The postholder will be part of the team that covers early and school years children with complex needs and learning disability. They will work in the community, including some work in special school, children's own homes and local clinics.
The role will include close partnership working with schools and SEND services as well as health professionals and tertiary centres. Training for eating and drinking specialism can be provided, as well as upskilling around various augmentative and alternative communication systems. We have a supportive team of SLT's as well as Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapist who you can learn from and work alongside.
As a community Trust many of our roles require individuals to be able to drive to perform their duties. As such you will be asked to confirm you have a full UK driving licence where driving is a requirement of the role to be able to proceed with your application.
