We’re recruiting now for talented individuals to join our expanding teams in both acute and community settings.

We’re looking for:  • Occupational Therapists  • Physiotherapists  • Speech and Language Therapists  • Dietitians  • Registered Nurses  • Support Workers across Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy, Dietetics & Nursing

Main duties of the job

  • To provide comprehensive assessment, advice and treatment of communication and/or swallowing difficulties in adults following acute stroke, and to manage own caseload.
  • To work in a multi professional framework.
  • To provide a service to critical care as competencies and service capacity allow
  • To provide a FEES / VFS service as competencies and service capacity allow
  • To work co-operatively with hospital staff, community staff health, social services and education professionals
  • To participate in research / audit within specialist field with the aim of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the service.
  • To assist in developing, providing and evaluating training packages and resources for SALTs and other professionals/agencies across East Sussex.
  • To provide mentoring to more junior SALTs and to supervise the work of SALT Assistants / Rehabilitation Support Workers and students (as appropriate).
  • To devise SALT programmes to be jointly implemented with health staff / key workers, providing training and advice where necessary.
