Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic Specialist Sonographer to join our busy, friendly imaging department. The ideal applicant would have excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and attitude, commitment and passion to deliver and improve the service to women-centred care.

You will be part of a small team of sonographers who are well respected and committed to providing a high standard of examinations.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You will work closely with and be supported by the onsite Regional Fetal Medicine team who provide care to women and their families undergoing high risk or problematic pregnancies requiring specialist care and expertise. You will also work closely and be supported by our lead Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who have a specialised interest in ultrasound.

We require staff with energy, excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and attitude; commitment and passion to deliver and improve the service to women centred care.     You would need a  post graduate certificate in obstetrics and/ or  gynaecology ultrasound.  Registered with the NMC, HCPC or Voluntary register for sonographers.
