Job summary

Are you passionate about nutrition and keen to build specialist expertise in the rewarding and fastdeveloping field of renal care? This is an excellent opportunity to expand your clinical skills within a highly respected service. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Dietitian to join our friendly and forwardthinking Nutrition and Dietetic Department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This temporary maternity cover post sits within our Renal Dietetic team and is offered on a fulltime basis, although parttime and flexible working arrangements are warmly welcomed. Being a car driver would be advantageous for this role. You will be fully supported by an experienced, collaborative renal dietetic team who are committed to developing your confidence and skills while delivering highquality, patientcentred care. Working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective and evidencebased nutritional management for people living with kidney disease.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities Deliver specialist, evidence based dietetic care across acute inpatient and outpatient services Support patients across the full renal pathway, including: Chronic kidney disease stages 3 to 5 Predialysis care Renal replacement therapies Post transplantation care Undertake comprehensive clinical and dietary assessments to identify nutritional diagnoses Develop and implement individualised, patient centred treatment plans that support safe biochemical outcomes Educate patients, carers and healthcare professionals on therapeutic diets and nutrition support in kidney disease
