It is an exciting time to be working at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, as we have recently increased our theatre space to 6 theatres and an Interventional MRI theatre. The National Hospital offers excellent experience in a unit with good clinical outcomes and high patient and staff satisfaction levels. The unit provides a full range of neurosurgical and spinal procedures with wide range of sub-specialist Neurosurgical interests such as Hydrocephalus, Pituitary, Epilepsy, Complex Spinal, Neuro-Oncology, Neuro-vascular and Functional Neurosurgery.

We would welcome applications from any candidate whose career progression would be helped by a longer period of neurosurgical surgical experience at registrar level and by candidates with previous neurosurgical registrar level experience.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary surgical and medical team and will be responsible for the pre and peri operative management of our patients. You will also participate in outpatient clinics. You will have a dedicated consultant clinical supervisor and weekly teaching.
