Job overview

Band 6 - Specialist Physiotherapist –

Musculoskeletal (MSK) / Pelvic Health Team Split Post

  • WTE – FTC until 30 April 2027

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Physiotherapist to work within our out-patient MSK/Pelvic Health Service. We are part of a wider out-patient service, working closely with the Hand Team.

The ideal candidate will have interest in musculoskeletal and acute orthopedic rehabilitation working within fracture clinics, virtual fracture clinics and the main therapy department. Alongside this the candidate will have interest and experience working in Pelvic Health and will work independently in obstetric & gynecological clinics and holding group sessions.  They must showcase excellent musculoskeletal and pelvic health skills and be willing to share those skills through in-service training and peer review sessions with colleagues, in addition to the supervision of junior staff and students.

Main duties of the job

A key role for the successful candidate in this exciting split post opportunity will be developing links between the Pelvic Health and MSK Teams, leading service development and integrating the two specialties.  They will also be dynamic and driven to share developments with the wider therapy team and regional networks.

The trust is committed to staff professional development, offering clinical supervision from the Senior and Advanced Physiotherapists within this clinical area.  The provision of clinical education for students from surrounding universities will be expected. We undertake regular in-service training which is provided by the team, Advanced Musculoskeletal Practitioners and Consultants within both services.

A flexible approach to day to day tasks is essential, in order to meet the demands of the service. We will offer a supportive and friendly environment and welcome innovative ideas.

Our philosophy is to keep the patient at the heart of everything we do. We look for a person who is willing to go the extra mile, not because they are asked to, but because they are committed to being part of a healthcare team that delivers an excellent caring service to our patients.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated with clinical, communication, organisational and time management skills.  Previous NHS experience is desirable but not essential.

All posts are subjected to Enhanced DBS checks.
