We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Physiotherapist to join our Trauma Team at the University Hospital Llandough.

As part of this specialist team, you will:

  • Work across multiple trauma wards, gaining clinical experience with a variety of trauma patients.
  • Deliver high-quality, individualized treatment programmes for patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological needs.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues  to ensure seamless patient care and support the flow of patients through our specialist trauma unit.

Main duties of the job

To work alongside members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver physiotherapy services to patients within these specialist  clinical areas.  This will include patients with multi-pathology and complex need and those with cognitive and behavioural problems.

They will have responsibility for managing their own patient caseload. They will participate in the on call service (overnight and weekends) where they will work independently, managing the respiratory needs of complex critically ill patients.

In addition they will provide support for the clinical supervision of physiotherapists, student physiotherapists and support staff.
