This is a really exciting time to join us at Kettering general Hospital. We are seeking to recruit additional Bank Specialist Pharmacists to rotate through different clinical areas and develop their clinical and leadership skills.

Applicants from Pharmacists that have completed or are working towards completion of a Pharmacy Clinical Diploma are welcome.

Main duties of the job

Successful applicants will be required:

  • To deliver, direct, develop and evaluate clinical Pharmacy services to the adult wards within the Medicine and Surgery Divisions including: A&E, Urgent Care, Respiratory, Cardiology, General Medicine, Endocrinology, Care of the Elderly, General Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics
  • To promote the safe, effective, and economic use of medicines through a number of methods including the development of guidelines, teaching, training and audit.
  • To coach, mentor and supervise those staff allocated and to participate in the provision of training to Pharmacy staff and other healthcare workers
  • To develop own skills, knowledge, and expertise in all areas.
