The post is for 22.5 hours per week until March 2027. From April 2027 onwards, the post will be 15 hours per week.

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Motor Skills Team in Sheffield, delivering high‑quality occupational therapy to children with a range of needs within a community setting.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Community Team Leader some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide specialised, high‑quality occupational therapy as a key member of the Motor Skills Team.
  • Carry out advanced assessments for children presenting with a wide range of conditions.
  • Formulate and communicate a clear diagnosis related to motor skill difficulties.
  • Apply highly developed clinical knowledge to design individualised treatment programmes.
  • Independently manage a personal caseload of children with motor coordination difficulties and/or autism, working without direct supervision.
  • Seek guidance, training and support from senior colleagues as needed, while continuing to develop as an autonomous practitioner and undertaking appropriate clinical duties.
