Job overview

Do you have a passion for working within the Medicine specialities, using all your specialist skills? Come and be part of our friendly and progressive B6 Medicine Rotation.  Specialist areas include Healthcare of Older People, Medicine-Oncology, and Medicine-Surgery teams across both sites.

You will hold a complex caseload and be involved in the assessment, treatment and creative rehabilitation of patients with complex physical and cognitive needs. You will be part of an OT service helping patients manage their own conditions through education, symptom management and interventions where possible and enable them to be discharged from hospital.

Rotations offer B6 staff exciting opportunities to develop knowledge, skills and experience across wide-ranging specialties including but not exclusive to palliative and long term conditions, neurological and cognitive deficits, surgical and orthopaedic interventions and amputees. Medicine is the perfect speciality to develop and maintain all of your skills. You will have excellent communication skills, and a wide range of clinical skills and experience. You will have the opportunity to be involved in service development to progress patient care.

We have a strong focus on supporting your career aspirations, discussed in 1:1 supervision. We have excellent leadership development opportunities, including B6 peer supervision sessions and access to our practice development team.
