To provide leadership and support to the maternity services by being the link midwife for the Addictive Behaviour Services and Associated Practices within maternity services.
Main duties of the job
- To provide leadership and support to the maternity services with regard to vulnerable women, including asylum seekers. To provide midwifery care and support to a defined caseload of women and their families within the community setting and supporting the pathway between hospital and community. Show expertise and leadership in Antenatal/Intrapartum and postnatal care, continuing to develop and manage practice and actively participate in achieving the Maternity Services and Trust’s objectives. To participate in the development of a service that improves multi-agency networking and the collection of information with relation to addictive behaviour and vulnerability Provide midwifery expertise, advice, skills, leadership and support at a senior level to all midwives within the Maternity Services. Lead and support all staff providing support and expertise in Addictive behaviours and vulnerable patients.
