A vacancy has arisen for an experienced sonographer to join our team working in the ultrasound department, based at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. Diagnostic ultrasound is delivered on several sites across Tayside and the post holder will be expected to regularly travel and work at other sites in Angus, Dundee & Perth as per rota.
Clinical Radiology provides a wide range of services for in-patients, out-patients and GP patients and envisions a future with advancing roles, opening opportunities for sonographer advanced practice.
The successful candidate must hold an appropriate diagnostic radiography qualification and be HCPC registered (or healthcare professional equivalents) and have a CASE accredited post graduate ultrasound qualification. Specialist areas of qualification and experience such as paediatrics, MSk and obstetrics, are highly desirable for this position. Applications will be expected to clearly align to the associated job/personal specification attached to this vacancy.
Hours of work are: 37 hours per week; the ultrasound service is constantly developing and in the near future shift working may be required, including weekend & extended weekdays working.
