Hosted by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, the post forms part of the national Skills Development Network team.  An administrative role responsible for supporting the SDN team in implementing the East Midlands SDN Programme and Midlands Digital Programme in conjunction with the East Midlands SDN Steering Group and Midlands Digital Board.

This post is home based with the occasional requirement for travel within the Midlands.

Main duties of the job

To assist with the administration of a wide range of development offers, working closely with the Skills Development Network team and finance, procurement and digital health colleagues to ensure that all programme activity is implemented to maximum effect. The post holder will be expected to assist with the smooth development and running of all programme offers and events and will expected to assist with all administration.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Assist with the admin in respect of all SDN programmes which will include booking venues, liaising with facilitators and delegates, preparing events for booking onto the website and requesting feedback

  • Deal with email and telephone calls and enquiries and direct them to the relevant team member if necessary
  • Arrange meetings, book venues, prepare agenda/attendance lists, take minutes and type up and distribute with agreed timescales
  • Be proficient in the use of IT systems including MS Office – Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel
  • To work effectively both independently and as a team member
  • Responsible for own mandatory training requirements
  • Cover other admin duties within the team as necessary

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
