The role requires dual site activity, to include St Paul's at the Royal Liverpool Hospital, most likely on a 3:2 split. The successful candidate will have experience within a hospital Ophthalmology unit and experience with Macular patients undergoing intravitreal injections.

This post is 0.32 WTE (12 hours) band 7.  During these times, the post holder will manage his/her workload, complete injection clinics and ensure patients have required follow up. The post holder will have other duties at band 6 level which include co-ordination of clinics, and deputising for the department manager in their absence. The successful candidate will act as the clinical expert and professional resource to the Multi-Professional team, patients and carers within their Speciality Service.  We are looking for someone with experience of working in a high volume healthcare environment, experience of working in an Ophthalmic setting would be an advantage. This post holder will be a core member of the newly formed macular team within the community, undergoing injections over both sites. The post holder will undergo full training to ensure a smooth transition into the community. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to take on a new challenge and develop this role.
