Main duties of the job

An incredible opportunity awaits you at The Royal Oldham Hospital! We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to become a key player in our Trauma and Orthopaedic team.

Step into our 32-bedded Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward  (T7), a fast-paced and supportive environment where you’ll care for patients recovering from orthopaedic surgeries. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that includes our Ward Manager, skilled nurses, coordinators, doctors, therapists, and specialist nurses—all working together to deliver exceptional, patient-centred care.

As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and leading our nursing staff, ensuring that we maintain our high standards of care at all times. In your position as Nurse in Charge, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and delegating nursing care while prioritising patient safety and effective management.
