Job summary

LHCH are looking to recruit two highly skilled and enthusiastic Band 6 Diagnostic Radiographer to join our General X-ray team. Our Radiographers participate in a rotation of shifts which include mobiles, orthopaedic theatres, pacing theatres, weekend shifts and Night shifts. When in the department our Radiographers will examine a variety of patients such as orthopaedic clinic outpatients, G.P patients and Cardiac & Thoracic outpatients.

The successful candidates will have post-graduate experience within an X-ray department which will aid them in completing a band 6 development plan upon employment at LHCH. This development plan will aid growing Radiographer confidence in leadership, mentoring, managing daily workflow and data quality.

Main duties of the job

  • To be responsible for the operational delivery of a high quality, safe and efficient X-ray service.
  • To provide supervision and training for junior Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, Radiographic helpers, and Student Radiographers.
  • To consistently demonstrate Trust values and behaviours.
