The successful applicant will work in the Orthopaedic Trauma unit at the Queen's Medical Centre Campus, which is the busiest Major Trauma Centre in the United Kingdom. Queens Medical Centre hosts the East Midlands Major Trauma Centre likely serves a population within the East Midlands region of England estimated to be around 4.8 million people.

Applications require full GMC registration and UK NHS experience
The post is designed to support the successful candidate to bridge the gap between higher surgical training and a substantive consultant appointment, with a significant trauma element. Daytime responsibilities include supporting trauma operating theatres, fracture clinics and on-call duties. The department offers all aspects of complex orthopaedic trauma surgery, including limb reconstruction, orthothoracic trauma surgery and pelvic and acetabular surgery.
