Are you an enthusiastic, passionate, and highly motivated individual eager to make a difference? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our brand new/ Occupational Therapy rehabilitation and relapse prevention focused team
- You will work as a senior therapy assistant within a new and emerging rehabilitation service both in the community
- You will support the Occupational Therapist in delivering person-centred interventions and feedback any relevant information concerning service users and carers.
- You will be part of a client-centred service where the needs of the individual will determine the intervention. This will mean that the successful postholder will work to engage service users across a variety of therapeutic interventions such as psychoeducation, cooking, shopping, social eating and relaxation. These interventions may be carried out in groups or on an individual basis via face-to-face contact and/or virtually.
- You will be working both in the PARALEL team’s office and in the persons local community
- You will need to plan ahead and prepare for group and 1:1 interventions but remain flexible and adaptable based on service user needs and preferences.
- You will work as part of our small team to help set up a service to ensure a seamless and supportive care experience for every individual.
- You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of eating disorders, mental health conditions and Occupational Therapy
- You will need to use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- You will record clinical documentation in a timely and organised manner.
