We have an exciting opportunity for applications for Treatment/Rotational Band 6s posts to cover for maternity leave within the department. Band 5 radiographers with a minimum of 18 months experience will be considered for these posts
As a Band 6 Senior Therapeutic Radiographer you would be part of a Linac based team but would also have the opportunity to rotate through other areas of the department such as pre-treatment or brachytherapy. As a large regional centre you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of treatments including paediatric radiotherapy, image guided IMRT, SABR, SRS and total body electron and photon treatments
In order to cover the service needs, the post-holder will need to be able to work flexible shifts over the working week with normal hours between 07.30 and 20.00.
To rotate through all the relevant clinical areas of the department under the direction of the sectional team leaders
To work and lead as part of a team of staff and to assist in the provision of a high quality Radiotherapy Service.
To comply with and contribute to the maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 quality system for the department.
To participate in audit, and the clinical research and development of techniques and equipment.
To ensure high technical standards and patient care standards are maintained during simulation and treatment.
To participate in the training and education programme of student and junior radiographers.

The Radiotherapy Department provides complex treatments including: paediatric radiotherapy, image guided IMRT, SABR, SRS and total body electron and photon treatments for patients across Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands region. The department has a major commitment to evidence based practice and participates in multi-centre clinical research.
