This role provides the following services to the Trust: -
The BMS Specialist will develop proficiency in the use of the Trend Engineering tool (SET) with a full understanding of IQ Vision and Trend Tonn devices on the Niagara 4 platform.
Using these tools, the BMS Specialist will create and update graphics using the inbuilt design templates in IQ Vision in conjunction with SET. They will also create new strategies to enhance control/energy saving.
They will help Estates by identifying issues with plant, directing them to rectify faults. They will also check alarm systems are functioning correctly, resolving any issues as they arise, monitoring the BMS system and attached devices. The next stage will be reporting issues to Estates colleagues and shift engineers if urgent. Good written communication skills are required to produce detailed reports on plant and actions required to engineers and other colleagues.
A big part of the role is developing BMS projects and project management, including ordering small scale BMS works. This involves working closely as a team with colleagues and developing good relationships with System House engineers.
This post will require high degrees of both knowledge and experience within BMS environments and require the post holder to work independently from the outset.
