Koala Ward is seeking a dynamic senior staff nurse to join our highly skilled and forward thinking team. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient centred care to individuals with neurological conditions. You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, co-ordinating care on a fast-paced unit and supporting the development and performance of the nursing team.
We are seeking:
- A nurse who has substantial experience in an acute or critical care environment, ideally within neurosciences.
- Demonstrates proven leadership skills including the ability to supervise, support and motivate a team of nurses.
- Thrives in a demanding and fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards of care under pressure.
- Is confident in making clinical decisions, escalating concerns and co-ordinating complex care needs.
- Shows commitment to continuing professional development and service improvement.
- Possesses excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.

Main duties of the job
- To provide clinical leadership to a designated nursing team and ensure the provision of high- quality nursing care to children, young people and families.
- To act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner.
- To assist in the safe, effective and efficient management of the department within allocated resources.
- To promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
- To undertake delegated responsibility for the department in the absence of the Ward Manager /Team Leader.
- To be familiar with and adopt the principles of the NHS Chief Nursing Officers vision for Compassion in Practice (NHS Commissioning Board Dec 2012).
