We have an exciting opportunities for Band 6 nurses to join our collaborative, enthusiastic and passionate team in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Michaels Hospital.
Our NICU is a tertiary unit for the population of the South West Neonatal Operational Delivery Networks (ODN) and consists of a total of 31 cots including 15 intensive care cots, 8 high dependency cots and 8 special care cots. The unit also helps support our 16 cot Transitional Care Ward.
The unit provides care for sick newborn infants with a wide variety of medical, surgical and cardiac conditions.
Please note this vacancy is only suitable for nurses with a full UK NMC registration who hold the relevant qualification in Neonatal Critical Care.
You will be expected to work alongside the Sister in charge of the unit, by taking the lead in coordinating HDU and SC. There will be an expectation that you have the ability to support and educate new and junior members of the nursing team, supporting them to develop into QIS nurses.
