Main duties of the job
The job:
- Assess, treat, and manage inpatients across a variety of wards, including AMU, Critical Care, Frailty, Dementia, ENT, Surgical, Cardiology, Orthopaedic and Respiratory.
- Support the Clinical Team Lead with operational management of the Adult SLT service.
- Work with patients with tracheostomy and head and neck cancer inpatients and outpatients as part of the multidisciplinary team.
- Liaise with colleagues across Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and participate in regional Head and Neck MDT meetings.
- Treat and manage dysphonic outpatients
- Deliver training and education to the wider MDT and provide clinical education to SLT students.
- Contribute to service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
