An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist to join the Patient Services team at UCLH. The successful candidate will rotate between the UCH inpatient dispensary, NHNN pharmacy service and homecare & procurement to deliver and develop the patient services. You will be supported to develop new operational and line management skills, within an engaged and supportive environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational skills and with a desire to provide a high quality, safe, effective and efficient service to our patients. This role is a great opportunity for a Band 6 pharmacist looking to move into a Band 7 position. Current Band 7 pharmacist looking to develop new skills that will help them progress into more senior roles should also consider the role.
The post holder will work closely with the Lead Pharmacist – Patient Services on the UCH main site to:
• Ensure the delivery and development of a high quality patient services care to inpatients.
• Lead on clinical incidents and complaints investigation related to medication incidents.
• Provide leadership and education and training to Rotational Pharmacists and Trainee Pharmacists, including practice supervision and management duties.
• Deliver operational support to the patient services team, including the creation and management of rota and authorisation of time sheets.
• To deputise for the Lead Pharmacist – Patient Services, including as manager of the on-call pharmacy service.
• 20% commitment for continued personal development in clinical pharmacy practice.
The post holder will be based across multiple UCLH hospital sites.
