Worcester Royal Hospital is a PFI hospital, the largest of 3 sites providing specialist services for Worcestershire including stroke, cardiac stenting and oncology. The Alexandra Hospital, Redditch serves a population of over 200,000 with over 300 beds supporting elective surgery especially in orthopaedics. This is an exciting time to join the team as services expand with a new ED opened at the beginning of 2024 and we develop our teams in CT, Cardiac and Interventional

We offer a comprehensive range of services in all areas of general radiography and also NM, CT, MRI, Interventional, cardiac and dexa. Our CT scanners across the county have all been recently replaced with state of the art technology. We are a forward-looking department committed to training and role development. We have advanced practice fluoroscopy radiographers and a large team of reporting radiographers led by a Consultant radiographer

We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated radiographer with a flexible approach to delivering radiography services keen to develop their skills.

We have a fully shifted 7day rota & out of hours on-call

Main duties of the job

To work as a radiographer to a high professional standard providing assistance and guidance to junior staff in order to maintain these standards.

Ensure high quality patient care maintaining patient flow and supporting the day to day running of the department whilst maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Working in accordance with ionising radiation regulations and in line with other departmental policies and protocols.

Excellent communication skills that foster good working relationships both within and external to the department.

Have a flexible approach towards hours of work.
