Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated and skilled individual who will complement our talking therapies service and work alongside the lower intensity clinical leads. The post holder will be able to provide clinical skills and case managerial supervisions to the Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and trainees. They will also need to have good knowledge and understanding of the lower intensity psychological interventions and hold the psychological Wellbeing practitioner qualification.

You will be expected to work within the leadership team, Triage & assess suitability for the psychological treatments within the service. You will also be expected to deliver lower intensity psychological evidenced based treatments for depression & anxiety disorders. Our modalities of treatments include digital therapy using Silvercloud & short psychological disorder specific courses and one to one guided self help via face to face, digital & telephone.

Full-time - 37.5 hours per week with a blended delivery of working in the office & remote working from a confidential space. There will need to be some flexibility to suit needs of the service. This post covers the area of Malvern, Evesham and Pershore & there will be times that you will be required to work from Waterside (Evesham).

This is a fixed term post to provide cover for absence for specific purpose that we anticipate will be required for 12 months. We reserve the right to end this contract sooner with appropriate notice.

Main duties of the job

Senior PWP will support the PWPs and Trainees to learn and develop their skills around screening patients suitability for the service and treating patients using step 2 interventions based on the principles of CBT for mild to moderate depression and anxiety disorders. Intervention will be delivered via a combination of telephone, digital, psychoeducational courses and one-to-one.

Senior PWP will offer weekly case managerial supervision and clinical skills group supervision two hours a month. This will be for all the PWPs in the locality you are based within. You will also be responsible for guiding and mentoring the Trainee PWPS throughout their university course. As a Senior PWP you will be responsible to work alongside the lower intensity clinical lead within the locality and wider service and other Senior PWPs and the leadership team. As part of your role you will also be supporting the team with treatment allocations and meeting clinical activity development work and lots more exciting tasks.
