This is a great opportunity for a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to further develop the low intensity service provision within Croydon Talking Therapies, and to support the senior management team in overseeing the step 2 offer in the service.

We are looking for a commitment of at least 1 year in this role.
The successful applicant will be proficient in the delivery of telephone triage assessments and CBT-based guided self-help interventions and have experience of working with common mental health problems within primary care. You will also have opportunities to co-run groups and workshops with other PWPs or High-Intensity Therapists and experience and skills in this would be very beneficial. It’s an opportunity to further develop your already existing supervisory skills and gain experience in supervising step 2 clinicians.

In this role you will be able to work Monday to Friday in the time frames from 8am to 7:30pm, giving you the very best of good work life balance. Please note, SPWP are required to be able to work from the office 2 days per week.
The post-holder will: Hold a qualification (Post grad dip/cert) in Low intensity CBT interventions which is a specific qualification for working as a psychological wellbeing practitioner
Support the triage assessment process by offering triage supervision and coordination of the low-intensity team. Offer evidence-based practice in guided self-help, cCBT and psycho-educational groups and workshops for people with common mental health disorders. Develop, support and train innovative practice to trainee and qualified Step 2 Low Intensity Practitioners. In addition, there is a significant clinical supervision component to the post and this is an opportunity for qualified and experienced IAPT psychological well-being practitioners who are enthusiastic and excited by the development of low intensity services to share their interest and passion, and to develop these qualities and skills in others. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and ensuring the delivery of culturally sensitive step 2 treatments.
