Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking to recruit  three  Project Managers to the Health Board’s Recovery & Sustainability Team  in order to drive the service changes and savings required to achieve the Health Board’s Cost Improvement Programme (CIP).

Reporting to the Principal Project Manager within the PMO, you will work closely with senior managers and clinicians across the Health Board to plan and implement the specific projects within the Programme Management Office CIP Programme.

The candidates should be able to demonstrate success in managing complex service changes involving engagement with multiple stakeholders.

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic individuals who are able to embrace the pace of transformational change which is required by the Health Board to achieve a challenging CIP savings Programme. In return the post holders will join a new forward thinking and ambitious team focusing on delivery and how we can achieve better outcomes.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Project Manager will manage one or more specific large-scale projects across the organisation in collaboration  with colleagues and partners including lead responsibility for the interpretation of national policy within the specialist  area  • The project(s) may be part of a programme, or large stand-alone and they will be expected to be the planning lead with a high level of autonomy. • Manage project staff. • Be responsible for the overall progress of the Project and use of resources, initiating corrective action where appropriate. • Ensure the scope and objectives of the programmes are clear and interdependencies are managed. • Work with senior managers and teams to identify opportunities for continual service improvement by utilising programme and project management methodologies.
