Job overview

We are undergoing one of the largest transformation programmes in NHS Wales and we are seeking people to come and join us to be part of something truly transformational. This is a rare opportunity to join our team to lead and support the delivery of the next stage of our innovative Clinical Futures Strategy. This is an essential leadership role as part of our diverse team and the variety of projects and part of the health system that you may be working with is both broad and exciting, from leading the development of a model of care ‘Home to home’ to redefining ways of working in clinical support services. We are looking for someone with a passion for patient care and who has experience in managing projects or delivering change successfully within healthcare. The post holder will play a role in implementing the Clinical Futures strategy, as well as continuing to develop the Grange University Hospital and reconfiguring our network of Local General Hospitals. We are looking for someone who is dynamic and motivated, with a successful track record of delivery and established relationships within healthcare. We are excited to recruit people from all different disciples to join our high impact team. To find out more about Clinical Futures please visit Aneurin Bevan University Health Board website.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a key member of the Clinical Futures Programme team. This is a team that leads the redesign of clinical and operational services across all parts of the health system and supports the delivery of change.

They will lead service design, programme, project planning and delivery support with Divisions, facilitating delivery of key areas of the Clinical Futures strategy aimed at improving services across the ‘whole system’, from primary and community care, through to secondary and specialised services.

The post holder will be responsible for identifying innovative and transformational service design opportunities, in line with the Clinical Futures strategy and the opening of the Grange University Hospital. The role then provides project, programme and tactical ‘hands-on’ support to Divisional teams to deliver the change with the Division and across the health system.
