Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist with relevant experience in the field of stroke, to support the provision and development of our services to the early supported discharge team for stroke. There is also a requirement to support the provision of 7-day services to the stroke unit on a rota basis.

Main duties of the job

Applicants will be able to evidence post-graduate experience in the field of stroke rehabilitation with some experience of community-based intervention. Applicants will be responsible, along with the rest of the senior team, for supervising more junior physiotherapists, TI’s and assistants based within the team.

Hours will be worked to support the 7-day provision of inpatient stroke care and applicants will be expected to have a flexible approach to this.

The Trust provides clinical placements for students from Sheffield and Nottingham and applicants will have experience of supporting students on undergraduate placements.

The Trust is committed to supporting and developing staff through appraisals and the supervision process. Senior staff have individual supervision and peer support as well as access to training.
