The post holder will play an integral role in supporting the Lead Homecare Pharmacist and Lead Pharmacist of Medicines Formulary and High-Cost Drugs to ensure the timely, safe, and efficient delivery of a high-quality, patient-focused homecare medicines service whilst also supporting medicines optimisation across the Trust.

Main duties of the job
Support and work closely with the Lead Homecare Pharmacist to deliver a safe, high-quality pharmacy homecare service in line with national standards and policies.
Manage and coordinate day-to-day homecare operations, including staff supervision, workload organisation, resolving medication/service issues, and maintaining high patient care standards.
Act as a key contact between the Trust, homecare providers, pharmacists, clinical teams, suppliers, and patients, handling queries and supporting communication across services.
Contribute to service improvement through developing procedures, monitoring KPIs, handling complaints/incidents, producing reports, and participating in audits, reviews, and meetings.
Support staff training, recruitment, and development, while also assisting with medication coordination, ordering, and accuracy checking to ensure timely patient treatment.
Support medicines optimisation by carrying out audits, producing reports and participating in service review to improve patient care and efficiency
