Job overview

Are you an enthusiastic, hard-working, and patient-focused individual looking to gain experience within a Hospital Pharmacy? We are delighted to offer an engaging fixed-term position at St Helier Hospital ending on 31 March 2026, with the potential for extension subject to funding review. This is a fantastic chance to contribute to a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in a supportive and progressive environment.

Join our friendly team in a busy dispensary, helping to deliver an efficient dispensing service. Previous experience with pharmacy dispensing systems and an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services are essential. You’ll need excellent attention to detail, strong customer care skills, and a passion for patient contact.

If you're ready to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you!

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate must be proficient in the use of a computer, have proven organisational skills and demonstrate an attention to detail in their work. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be working as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

You will play a key role in preparing medicines for our patients. You will also carry out general housekeeping, filing and receptionist duties and undertake daily stock checks.

Hours of work are Tuesday to Friday 11am to 2:45pm. This role does not require weekend and Bank Holiday working.

To be considered, candidates must hold an NVQ qualification Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills or an equivalent recognised qualification. Previous hospital experience is desirable and an enthusiasm for a new challenge and a willingness to learn are key!
