Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of a community mantal health rehab project. The South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) Integrated Community Rehabilitation Team provides specialist enhanced rehabilitation support to adults typically aged 18-65 diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health needs who would benefit from an intensive rehabilitation and recovery-focused approach which will best be met by an integrated clinical and voluntary sector shared model of care and support within an accommodation-based service. The accommodation and support staff are provided by Penrose in the form of two 7 bedded properties in the London Borough of Lewisham, less than 10 minutes walk from each-other. SLaM provides dedicated medical, occupational therapy, psychology and co-occurring mental health, alcohol and drugs practitioner input and the posts will sit within a team within the established Psychological Medicine and Older Adult (PMOA directorate) . Although based in the borough of Lewisham, the service will also be open to service users from Southwark and Croydon boroughs served by SLaM. The successful candidate will therefore have experience of working within a mental health environment, have a strong commitment to improving the recovery outcomes of individuals, and enjoy working with stakeholders to support service transformation and innovation.
