An exciting opportunity to join a diverse, dedicated and lively team in Winsford has arisen. We are looking for a caring compassionate experienced occupational therapist to come and join our team!
The role will be part of the Winsford Care Community Team, based at Dene Drive Primary Care Centre, working across the Winsford community footprint and working in the Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre, the discharge to assess unit based in Winsford. The successful candidate will work closely with all therapy and nurse colleagues in the care community and will be expected to provide supervision to other therapy staff and assistants.
The clinical role of the band 6 Occupational Therapist (OT) is to perform specialist functional assessment of patients within the community setting with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions. You will also hold responsibility for assessing patients in their home setting, and working as independent practitioners when needed.
Part of the non-clinical role of a Band 6 OT is to teach, assess and contribute to the performance assessment and appraisal of newly qualified therapy, assistant therapy staff and OT students. CCICP encourages internal development, and supporting colleagues on their career journey is a key part of this senior OT role.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate robust and positive leadership qualities and have the ability to work under pressure.
