Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a non medical prescriber (nurse or pharmacist) who is keen to support to the ADHD Pharmacological branch of the neurodevelopmental team within the children and young person's service (ages 6-18years).

This role could be either a Band 7-8a development role or an 8a role depending on experience.

The Neurodevelopmental Service opened its doors in 2022 and as a service we are keen to use the latest research and guidance to provide a high quality approach to supporting need, diagnostic assessments and medication support.

The post holder will work closely with the Consultant Nurse and general manager as the service continues to develop and evolve.

We welcome applications from Registered Nurses i.e. Adult/Child/Mental health/Learning Disability and Pharmacists.

Main duties of the job

The role involves supporting the development of the ADHD Pharmacological branch of the service whilst facilitating ADHD diagnostic assessments, ADHD medication initiations, titration, stabilisation, and review clinics. Whilst also providing clinical guidance to young people and care givers around meeting identified needs.

The role also involves utilising leadership skills to support the transformation of the service and staff development.
