This is an exciting opportunity for a mental health practitioner with a keen interest in working with young people whose difficulties are sometimes described by the term ‘personality disorder’. To apply you will need to be a qualified Nurse, Social Work or Occupational Therapist, with post qualification experience.
The service has a proven track record in providing effective services to individuals with a history of trauma, self-harm and interpersonal difficulties. The service has now been adapted to better meet the needs of young people aged 18-25. EMERGE Leeds provides a range of interventions for people with complex emotional and relational difficulties including care coordination, Youth Work, Housing, Peer Support, Occupational Therapy, Psychotherapy and Creative Therapies. Senior Mental Health Practitioners sit at the heart of our established service providing case management and care coordination in the context of the multi-disciplinary team.
Senior Mental Health Practitioners in the service manage a caseload and provide care coordination as part of a psychologically informed service, alongside colleagues from range of disciplines and partner organisations. The successful applicant will be expected to develop positive and meaningful therapeutic relationships with individuals who experience emotional distress and interpersonal difficulties, and to provide effective interventions and case management.
