Ipswich Adult community team specialise in working with adult’s who are experiencing mental illness. The team are based in Ipswich and you will be working with one of the most complex demographics within Suffolk. We focus on Recovery based interventions and strive to work in partnership with those we care for, their families and their networks.We are looking for people to join us to continue to build on an already successful service. We aim to continuously improve the service delivery and outcomes as a part of NSFT.
You’ll be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team, undertake the role of the duty worker as part of our team’s rota. You’ll regularly be working with external agencies as part of a service users care, so being able to work well in a team and having excellent communication skills is vital. You can expect a thorough induction and training / preceptorship period, as well as opportunities for ongoing development.
You can expect a manageable case load and a supportive management team to ensure you’re able to work independently but support is never far away if needed.

The post will involve you working autonomously in the community. You will engage with people, and using effective communication, often in difficult and stressful circumstances. You will be undertaking initial assessments, introducing services, making referrals to appropriate agencies, and monitoring and supporting situations to achieve positive outcomes for our service users and carers. You will be supported within your practice via a helpful team
