Job summary

Main duties of the job

Accurately documenting on patient records on behalf of ward consultant.

Regular use of IT clinical applications such as patient notes.

Managing and arranging consultant and other team members diaries to book appointments.

Documenting, uploading and filing to patient records in a timely manner.

Taking minutes at MDT meetings, patient reviews, and team meetings as required.

Liaising with other professionals and external agencies via all communication mediums in a professional manner.

Supporting the team to complete audits and collate data to provide operational evidence and support quality improvement, including keeping records of referrals, admissions, discharges and outcome measures.

Supporting the MDT to adhere to the administrative requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983, by helping to ensure reports and other documentation is completed when required and filed correctly.

To cover the duties of the ward clerk when required.
