We are looking for an organised and motivated Senior Information Governance Officer to join us and play a key role in the Information Governance team.

The post-holder will be instrumental in helping to ensure the Trust is able to meet both its statutory and legal obligations in relation to Information Governance and that the Trust's systems and information collection processes are aligned to the Data Security & Protection Toolkit and compliant with the Data Protection Act, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Freedom of information Act (FOIA)

Management of Freedom of Information (FoI) requests, to ensure compliance with deadlines. This involves ensuring the Trusts website has relevant, up to date and accurate information as identified in the mandatory Publication Scheme.

Lead on the submission of the Trusts mandatory annual Data Security and Protection Toolkit.

Subject matter expert in IG incidents, communicating with investigators/governance leads to ensure resolution, and escalating all potentially reportable incidents, ensuring lessons learned are embedded.

Provide training on the information governance framework aspects like Freedom of Information, records management and data protection.

Undertake compliance audits to ensure Information Governance and IT policies are embedded within the Trust.
