An excellent opportunity to work in a welcoming team with experienced leaders in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC). Our team are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Infection Prevention and Control Practitioner with the ability to influence and promote best IPC practice across Barts Health Trust NHS. The IPC Practitioner will work with Barts Health Trust NHS staff to improve the practice and reduce hospital acquired infections. The post holder will provide leadership, mentorship and management to junior staff as well as peer support to the other Band 7 IPC Practitioners within the team. The post requires working together with other stakeholders across the Trust to follow our Trust values and to ensure the IPC policy and guidelines are implemented into the Trust practice. Our IPC service includes the management of isolation prioritisation to aid patients’ safety, training and education and working together with other leaders across the organisation.
The post holder will be expected to spend at least 70% of time within the clinical area providing training and support, education and advice to the clinical staff and 30% on project works (such as quality improvement projects).
