Highland Health and Social Care Services help people from all walks of life, as well as their families or carers. Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Sutherland Health and Social Care Team. We are looking for a motivated & enthusiastic individuals who will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working with patients in their own homes to provide holistic care. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and assistance to service users to maximise and maintain their independence. The post holders need to be flexible and able to use their own initiative. The post-holders will provide high standards of patient care in support of the team to ensure delivery of a high-quality service to the local community.

Experience not required, although of benefit. Full training will be provided, and the applicant will have the opportunity to complete an SVQ in Health & Social Care.A driving licence is essential for this post. Applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes.

There are 3 x 14 hours per week posts on a 4 days on, 4 days off rota covering the Durness area.

2 posts cover 9am – 1pm.

1 post covers 4pm- 8pm.

  • Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
