Job overview

The post offers a varied role as an integral  member of a nursing team, offering treatment room appointments  and supporting in the  long term condition management of patients. The successful applicant will work in both clinic type settings and the patients own homes/care homes, as required.

As a Band 3 HCA, support will be offered to enable participation in immunisation programmes   such as influenza, pneumovax and shingles programmes.

Main duties of the job

Working under the supervision of trained nurses;

• Immunisations.
• ECG's
• Basic dressings.
• Patient reviews
• New Patient Health checks
• Blood pressure management.
• Physical health checks.
• Stock, fridge audits and infection control.
• Advising re diet and lifestyle in relation to  chronic disease.
• Phlebotomy
• Task management for wider team and organisation.
• Vaccinations
• Infection control
