The Nuclear Medicine department at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Wirral is busy and dynamic, and houses a Siemens Symbia Intevo Gamma Camera with SPECT-CT, carrying out a wide variety of examinations. We also provide a busy Radium therapy service. Our PET-CT scanner is currently being replaced.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool site houses a digital Siemens Biograph Vision and also provides Radium therapy service.

We work collaboratively with Alliance Medical in providing the PET-CT service as part of the NHSE National Contract. We also carry out non-contract work such as scanning to aid with radiotherapy planning and clinical trials.

The department is dedicated to supporting staff development and training. There may be the opportunity for role development in the future, such as Post Graduate qualifications,  research-based activities and/or development of further therapy treatments. You would be required to work flexibly with the department moving towards extended days and Saturday working in PET as the service develops.
