This is a hybrid role, with three days working on-site and two days at home.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Communications Officer (Internal), you will be responsible for planning and delivering internal communications and engagement to our 30,000 staff. Working closely with our Communications Manager (Internal), you will create and execute communication plans that support the delivery of MFT’s new strategy.

The role will include:

  • Plan and delivering effective communication plans for strategic programmes, large-scale change, and staff engagement campaigns
  • Supporting a calendar of colleague engagement events supporting Workforce, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Organisational Development.
  • Content creation using tools such as Canva
  • Delivering plans for internal communications and engagement campaigns
  • Support the creation of short videos, either in-house or through an external company
  • Support the Communications Manager (Internal) to help develop and manage an effective and proactive strategic stakeholder management process to ensure the organisations messages are communicated effectively
  • Updating and reviewing content across internal channels such as the intranet and MFTV digital screens.
  • Work flexible hours when called to do so
