Sheffield Children's is home to one of the UK's leading Emergency Departments, known for delivering high-quality care. We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Senior Clinical Support Worker to join our Emergency Department and Acute Assessment Unit (ED/AAU) team. You'll help support care delivery to children, young people and their families at often challenging and emotional times.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in a healthcare or social care environment, ideally working with children and young people.
  • GCSEs A–C in English and Maths (or equivalent Level 2 qualifications), and Vocational Award Level 2 in Health
  • Able to work both day and night shifts, including weekends, rotating across both ED and AAU.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Ward Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Work alongside registered nurses to deliver clinical care within defined competencies.
  • Support the assessment, care planning and monitoring of patients.
  • Perform delegated clinical tasks safely and effectively.
  • Support administrative and IT processes, manage stock and maintain clean, safe equipment and environments.
  • Contribute to a positive patient and family experience at every stage of their care.

Please note that Sheffield Children's uplift pay to meet the Real Living Wage, which is £12.60 per hour.
