
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is one of the most research active Mental Health and Community Trusts in the country. Applications will be considered from ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS, NURSES, or CLINICAL RESEARCH PRACTITIONERS with experience in clinical research delivery.
We are looking to recruit an experienced, motivated professional to join our Research and Development Team as a Band 6, Senior Research Practitioner. We have a growing portfolio of studies across our Trust services in Mental health, Physical health, Sexual health, Learning Disabilities and Neurodevelopmental conditions. We work intricately with these clinical services to deliver on our study portfolio.
This post is based at University of Reading, Whiteknights Campus, but you will be required to travel as required by the job role and as such a time efficient mode of transportation is essential. Currently the Trust is supporting hybrid working where appropriate.
Work Pattern: Monday-Friday, 9-5 but some flexibility may be required.
The role requires excellent organisational, project management and communication skills in addition to an awareness of research study processes. Main duties include supporting clinical staff to assess the capacity and capability for studies, and effectively implementing study research protocols, including participant identification and recruitment, maintenance of study documentation in accordance with regulatory frameworks, stipulated timeframes and delivery targets.
Working both autonomously and collaboratively to be the lead on managing a portfolio of research projects on a day-to-day basis. Having the ability to prioritise and use own initiative to drive clinical research delivery performance for Berkshire Healthcare, to ensure key performance indicators are met.
Previous line management/mentorship experience would be advantageous. Venepuncture skills would also be advantageous, but training will also be provided.
