Job overview

Are you looking for an opportunity to join an exciting and dynamic pharmacy team supporting our external community sites?

Due to the maternity leave, an opportunity has arisen within the department to join, and lead, the clinical pharmacy service provided to the Integrated Pathways division, in particular the community hospital sites of Bluebird Lodge, Croydon Unit (at Felixstowe General Hospital), Aldeburgh Hospital and St. Elizabeth Hospice.

Based at the Ipswich Hospital site, you and your team of pharmacy technicians and assistants will support our patients out in the community, providing physical in-person visits and remote support.

Our friendly pharmacy team are dedicated to nurturing, mentoring and developing our staff to reach their full potential. We provide pharmacy forums, tutorials and weekly ICS/ESNEFT delivered educational workshops. We support personal development plans, smart objective setting and opportunities for study.

ESNEFT is about to embark on a full site wide implementation of the EPIC electronic patient record which includes electronic prescribing and administration and pharmacy stock control system replacement.

In addition to our fully automated dispensaries, we host one of the NHS Specialist Pharmacy Service medicines advice sites and the Regional Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit (including a brand new Aseptic facility).

This post is until 18th January 2026. Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be offered on a secondment basis only.
