Overview of the Senior Clinical Fellow role in  Geriatrics & Neurorehabilitation

The over-riding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement and by working closely with the broader Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT).

The post will be based with the Neurorehabilitation team at Mansfield Community Hospital, with services also offered at Newark and Kings Mill Hospital.

There are excellent educational opportunities, both formal (weekly medical Grand Round, weekly Geriatric Department educational meeting) and informal. There are also opportunities for audit and QIP projects whilst working at the hospital.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to work as a member of the neurorehabilitation multidisciplinary team and be supervised by Dr Silva, this will include assisting with in-reach into the medical wards, seeing neurorehabilitation referrals on medical wards, neurorehabilitation outpatient clinics, spasticity management and botulinum toxin injections, with training as required.
