Applications are invited for a clinical fellow post at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This job is aimed at individuals who have experience in treating patients with inherited cardiac conditions and wish to further advance their clinical training in the fields of inherited cardiac conditions, acquired conditions predisposing to cardiac arrhythmias, prevention of sudden cardiac death in the young and sports cardiology.
The successful applicant will work within our Centre for Inherited Cardiac Conditions and Sports Cardiology and will conduct supervised outpatient clinics, participate in the in-patient care of patients with inherited cardiac conditions and support the community cardiac screening programme of the charitable organisation Cardiac Risk in the Young. They will have the opportunity to receive further training on cardiac MRI and connective tissue diseases.
The successful applicant will be supervised by our team of consultants including Professor Elijah Behr, Dr Gherardo Finocchiaro, Professor Michael Papadakis, Professor Sanjay Sharma, Dr Mark Specterman and Professor Maite Tome who have a world-renowned reputation in the cardiomyopathies and ion channelopathies. Enthusiasm and self-motivation are essential for the post. The successful applicant should be able to work independently but should also be flexible and a good team member.
