An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic clinical pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery to cover maternity leave of the current post holder for 12 months. You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of pharmacy services to the neurology, neurosurgery and adult metabolic services.   This is an opportunity to gain leadership experience in a pioneering hospital which is expanding and developing new areas in research, service development and education.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic individual with substantial knowledge, skills, experience and expertise in Neurology to support and further develop the high quality pharmacy service to these areas.

The NHNN Pharmacy team provides a comprehensive range of services with the aimed at ensuring safe, effective, and economical use of medicines

  • You will provide and develop clinical pharmacy services in accordance with objectives agreed with the Queen Square Principle Pharmacist an the Divisional Leads  •    You will act as a clinical role model to junior staff. providing professional leadership, support and guidance in clinical practice  •    You will also work as part of our broader clinical pharmacy team and contribute to local and national initiatives to develop and enhance the pharmacy service and medicines management across the Trust.  •    You will contribute to the delivery of educational and developmental programmes, including the Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice, and our rotational programme for band 7 clinical pharmacists.
